The olives are preserved in a mix of water, sea salt and vinegar. The brine accentuates their fruity, smoky taste. Enjoy them on their own or as part of a mezze feast.
In addition to snacking, Kalamata olives are great on pizza and pasta. Add them whole or chopped to salads and tomato sauce. Their meaty texture works particularly well in tray bakes with cod or chicken.
Kalios grows their olives in the Kalamata region of southern Greece. Eight generations of the Chantzios family have tended to the centuries-old groves.
