ArteMonte venison pate is best enjoyed simply on toasted bread or crackers. The rich, game flavour of the venison is set off by oregano, which gives subtle herbal, almost aniseed notes.
Serve the venison pate with toasted sourdough and a little rocket as a starter, or take the jar on picnics with some crispbreads.
ArteMonte make artisan Spanish pates and cured meats in the Sierra Morena mountains on the border between Andalucia and Castilla la Mancha. ArteMonte specialise in wild game, and the mountain habitat is rich with animals like boar, venison and partridge.
